Why cellulose insulation

What makes Unifloc special?

1

Summer heat protection

Cellulose's high thermal mass significantly delays heat penetration – roof spaces stay cooler for longer in summer.

2

Seamless insulation

As blow-in insulation, Unifloc fills cavities completely – no gaps, no thermal bridges, no fitting errors.

3

Sustainable & regional

Made from single-grade recycled paper, produced in Baden-Württemberg. Short transport routes, tested quality.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions about Unifloc cellulose insulation

What is the difference between the 14 kg bag and the blow-in pallet?

The 14 kg bag (and the 294 kg pallet) is designed for pour-in insulation – applied by hand. The 315 kg pallet contains 15 kg bags specifically designed for machine-applied blow-in insulation. Both use the same cellulose material with λD = 0.038 W/(mK).

How much Unifloc do I need for my area?

This depends on the area and the desired insulation thickness. As a guide: for 1 m² at 20 cm installation depth, you will need approximately 10–12 kg of Unifloc. We are happy to calculate the exact quantity for you – just call: +49 6261 17613.

Where is Unifloc manufactured?

Unifloc is produced by CWA in Baden-Württemberg from single-grade recycled paper. Short transport routes, tested quality and sustainable production make it an attractive solution for modern construction projects.

Can I apply Unifloc myself?

As pour-in insulation, yes – loosen, pour in and level off evenly, without special tools. For blow-in insulation into cavities, a blowing machine is required. Our specialist contractor is happy to take care of the installation.

Why is cellulose particularly good for summer heat protection?

Cellulose has a very high thermal mass. This means heat is conducted inward more slowly – roof spaces stay noticeably cooler in summer. This effect is significantly more pronounced with cellulose than with mineral fibre or polystyrene.

Which components is Unifloc suitable for?

Unifloc is suitable for roof slopes, top-storey ceilings, timber joist ceilings, loft floors, timber-frame walls and stud bays – in new builds and energy-efficient renovation alike.
