Bitumen strips & sheets

KSK (cold self-adhesive) membranes are installed without a flame – simply peel off the protective film and press. Easy to install, no flame required. Roof membranes are traditionally torch-applied – more robust for heavily loaded flat roofs but require expertise and equipment.

Bitumen aluminium tape is excellent for quick repairs, covering cracks and holes in roof membranes, connections at walls, valleys and pipes, and emergency waterproofing. Self-adhesive, instantly watertight and workable without tools – which explains the high sales figures.

Standard bitumen tapes consist of pure bitumen and are more economical but can become brittle in cold conditions. Polymer-modified tapes contain plastic additives (usually SBS or APP) that keep the tape flexible even at low temperatures and enable better crack bridging – longer service life, higher load capacity.

Before laying bitumen sealing membranes on absorbent substrates such as concrete, screed or masonry. The primer penetrates the substrate, seals pores and creates a uniform, well-bonding surface for the subsequent membrane or sealing tape.

For emergency waterproofing on damp surfaces, there are specially suited variants. Standard bitumen aluminium tape requires a dry substrate for permanent adhesion. On wet substrates we recommend products specifically designed for damp conditions or liquid roof sealant.

Liquid roof sealant can be applied seamlessly to complex geometries, tight connections and hard-to-reach areas where membranes would be difficult to install. Ideal for repairs, detail points and small areas – for large flat roof surfaces, the membrane is more economical.
