Weatherproof membranes
Fully adhesive – the key feature
Solitex Adhero – self-adhesive weather protection membrane direct on timber
Solitex Adhero is no ordinary weather protection membrane. It bonds fully on timber, OSB and CLT – no stapling, no separate adhesive zones, no fixing tools. This makes it particularly suitable for timber-frame construction, CLT structures and multi-storey buildings where intermediate floors need to be quickly, securely and temporarily protected from moisture.

Where is Solitex Adhero used?
Three typical applications
Construction-phase protection on intermediate floors
In multi-storey CLT and timber-frame construction, Adhero 3000 protects floor elements between construction phases – fully bonded, immediately watertight, no fixing tools needed.
Airtightness on timber surfaces
Adhero bonds fully to timber, OSB and cross-laminated timber and simultaneously functions as an airtightness membrane – one membrane for two functions.
Repairs and detail points
The narrow widths (0.30 m and 0.50 m) are ideal for repairs, detail points and connections where a wider membrane would be impractical.
Specialist product with a clear area of use
Solitex Adhero – when it is the right choice
Solitex Adhero is a premium product for specific applications in modern timber construction. The full-surface adhesion to timber makes it particularly effective in CLT and timber-frame construction. For classic sub-roof applications with battens and roof covering, we recommend the Solitex Mento range. If you are unsure which product is right for your case, we are happy to advise.
Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions about Solitex Adhero
What does "fully adhesive" mean?
Solitex Adhero has a full-surface adhesive layer on its underside – the membrane is applied directly to timber, OSB or CLT and bonds across the entire surface, not just at the edges. This eliminates the need for stapling or fixing strips and creates a particularly secure, uniform bond.
What is the difference between Adhero 1000 and Adhero 3000?
Adhero 1000 is the lighter version, hail-resistant to HW5, for roof and wall constructions. Adhero 3000 is medium-weight and specifically designed for construction-phase protection on intermediate floors in CLT and timber-frame constructions – higher mechanical load capacity.
Why is there a transparent version (Adhero Visto)?
The transparent version allows the timber structure to remain visible – making it easier to check the joint position, adhesive coverage and overlap during installation. Particularly useful for visible constructions or where the bonding needs to be checked afterwards.
Can Solitex Adhero be used as a permanent sub-roof membrane?
Solitex Adhero is primarily designed for temporary construction-phase protection. For permanent sub-roof membranes beneath roof coverings, we recommend the Solitex Mento range (1000, 3000 or 5000).
Which substrates does Solitex Adhero bond to?
Solitex Adhero bonds fully to timber, OSB boards and cross-laminated timber (CLT). The substrate must be dry, clean and free of dust and loose particles. Oily or coated surfaces may impair adhesion.
Which widths are available?
Adhero 1000 and 3000: 0.50 m, 1.00 m and 1.50 m widths. Adhero Visto: 0.30 m, 0.50 m and 1.50 m widths. The narrow widths (0.30 m and 0.50 m) are especially suitable for connections, detail points and repairs.
