Non-combustible – fire class A1

This makes it the first choice for constructions with fire protection requirements – for example in multi-storey timber construction, commercial buildings or wherever planning permissions require non-combustible materials.

What is the difference between blow-in and spray-on insulation?
With blow-in insulation, mineral fibre is blown by machine into enclosed cavities. With spray-on insulation, the material is applied openly onto accessible surfaces such as attic floors and storey ceilings. Mineral fibre is one of the few insulation materials that supports both methods.
When is mineral fibre the better choice over cellulose?
Mineral fibre is the right choice when fire protection requirements stipulate non-combustible materials – for example in multi-storey timber construction, commercial buildings or specific construction details. For ecological projects without special fire protection requirements, cellulose or wood fibre are often the better choice.
